Top 5 Desert Island Colors
If I were stuck on a desert island with nothing but driftwood, palm leaves and a Wilson volleyball, I could still do what I love if I had these colors. They’re all by Golden except my guilty pleasure, Quinacridone Violet, by Winsor & Newton.
Red Oxide (underpainting of skin and living things)

Pthalo Blue (Green Shade-underpainting of non-living things)

Naples Yellow (for mixing skin tones)

Cadmium Yellow Dark (my primary yellow)

Quinacridone Violet (when mixed with cad yellow, the ORANGE is to DIE for.)

…and my new favorite, Golden *Open* Acrylic Titanium White. Genius.

I know I said only 5 colors, but the Quin Violet was one that washed up on shore after the wreck. The rest were legitimately in my pocket.
